Location: Pune, MIDC, Pimpri-Chinchwad.

The Purchaser is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and buying goods, materials, and services required for the company’s operations. This role ensures that purchases are made cost-effectively and are of the highest quality, while maintaining positive relationships with suppliers and meeting internal supply chain and inventory goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify procurement needs based on internal requests or inventory levels.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors and suppliers.
  • Research, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, price, delivery, and service.
  • Issue purchase orders and monitor delivery timelines to ensure timely receipt of goods.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and vendor performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., finance, production, logistics) to forecast demand and manage stock levels.
  • Resolve issues related to supply, delivery delays, or quality discrepancies.
  • Monitor market trends and stay up to date with new products or suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal procurement requirements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Purchaser, Procurement Officer, or similar role.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency with purchasing software (e.g., ERP systems) and Microsoft Office.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field (preferred).
  • 2–5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement.
